These Terms of Service govern your use of the funeral livestreaming and videography services provided by Funeral Live Streams (AllansonMedia). By booking our services, you agree to the following terms.
1. Service Booking & Payment
- Booking: A booking is considered confirmed once we have received your booking form and the required deposit.
- Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full within 7 days following the funeral service.
- Payment Methods: We accept BACS, major credit/debit cards, and PayPal. Invoices will be issued electronically.
2. Service Scope & Technical Limitations
- Connectivity: While we utilise state-of-the-art cellular bonding technology (4G/5G) to broadcast from locations without Wi-Fi, service quality is dependent on the signal strength provided by local telecommunications infrastructure. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by total network failure or “black spots” beyond our control. We cannot guarantee 100% uptime due to factors outside your control. A full recording of the service will be uploaded as soon as possible after the funeral.
- Location Access: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that we have permission to film and livestream within the chosen venue (church, chapel, cemetery, etc.). We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by venue access restrictions.
- Discretion: We operate with the utmost professionalism and discretion. Our team will coordinate with funeral directors to ensure we remain as unobtrusive as possible.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations: If you cancel the service, the 50% deposit remains non-refundable to cover the reservation of our equipment and team.
- Rescheduling: If the funeral date is changed, we will make every effort to accommodate the new date, subject to our availability. If we are unavailable for the new date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation – we will refund 100% of the money paid.
4. Ownership & Usage Rights
- Digital Files: You will receive a high-definition digital download of the service. These files are provided for private, non-commercial use by your family.
- Livestream Hosting: Recordings are hosted on our third-party platform (BoxCast) for a period of 2 months following the service to allow for viewing and downloading. After this period, files will be automatically deleted, so please download the live streams if you wish to keep them.
5. Liability
- We take every precaution to ensure a successful broadcast. In the unlikely event of total equipment failure resulting in a loss of the livestream, our liability is strictly limited to a refund of the fees paid for that specific service. We are not liable for emotional or consequential damages.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these services shall be settled within the jurisdiction of the English courts.
